Yes
I know, my lack of updates has caused people to most likely stop
checking my website. But I'm back now from my vacation and ready
to share!
The pictures from Greece are
now up in the photos section. I did change the layout from my normal
photos due to the extremely large quantity of photos I was handling
at one time. There are over 400+ greece photos in that section (I
took over 1200 total on the trip). If you are interested in some
hardcopy 4x6 glossy photos, please email me with the picture # and
your address (assuming the quantity isn't off-the-wall). I've been
doing a lot of Snapfish™
lately to disperse photos to the various families.
My favorite photos have been touched up and added to my artsite
here. Feel
free to comment on them.
The trip was wonderful, I got to visit some great long lost friends
in Kuwait
(by accident) before my vacation even started so I knew it was going
to be a glorious time. I picked up a 1 gig SD card in Kuwait before
heading out to Greece and i'm glad I did. Got my piece of americanism
before heading out by traveling down into Kuwait City to eat at
TGI Friday's and visit an aquarium.
I
ended up staying in Santorini,
which a far southeast island in the Aegean sea, for 5 days in a
villa. The island is like a ghost town during the winter due to
their main source of income is tourism in the summer. With this
in mind it was extremely relaxing and wonderfully quiet. (Except
for driving on narrow streets at high speed, that was nerve wracking).
After that I stayed at the Attalos
Hotel in Athens with a wonderful view of the Acropolis.
Traveled around, ate the local food, enjoyed the culture, saw the
tourist traps, took lots and lots of photos to share and keep memories
alive forever.
I was with one of my best friends during the whole trip who flew
in from Zaragoza,
Spain to relax and spend time together. He went to college with
me back in the day, and was also a roommate of mine for years in
Colo Spgs.
